Vaiśampāyana uvāca: tataḥ sa tasmai prītātmā darśayāmāsa tad eva vapuḥ | śāśvataṁ vaiṣṇavaṁ dhīmān dadarśe yad dhanañjayaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana said: Then, with a heart pleased, he revealed to him that very form of his—the eternal Vaiṣṇava form, the same divine vision that Dhanañjaya (Arjuna) had beheld at the beginning of the war.
Divine grace is shown to the receptive: the Lord reveals his eternal nature not as spectacle but as reassurance that dharma is upheld and that the same guiding presence that stood at the war’s outset remains available in its aftermath.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Kṛṣṇa, pleased, reveals to someone present (the recipient implied by context) his eternal Vaiṣṇava form—the very form earlier seen by Arjuna at the beginning of the great war.
