चिक्षेप च स तं धीमान् वाग्भिरुग्राभिरच्युतम् । पुनः पुनश्च मातड़ः पिबस्वेति तमब्रवीत्,उस समय बुद्धिमान् उत्तंकने अपने कठोर वचनों-द्वारा भगवान् श्रीकृष्णपर भी आक्षेप किया। उधर चाण्डाल बारंबार आग्रह करने लगा--“महर्षे! जल पी लीजिये”
cikṣepa ca sa taṃ dhīmān vāgbhir ugrābhir acyutam | punaḥ punaś ca mātaraḥ pibasveti tam abravīt ||
Then the wise Uttaṅka, in the heat of indignation, hurled harsh words even at Acyuta (Śrī Kṛṣṇa), casting blame upon him. Meanwhile the Caṇḍāla repeatedly pressed him, saying again and again, “O great sage, drink the water.”
