महाहंकारदीप्तं च गुणसंजातवर्तनम्‌ | अरतिग्रहणानीकं॑ शोकसंहारवर्तनम्‌

Transliteration

mahāhaṅkāradīptaṃ ca guṇasaṃjātavartanam | aratigrahaṇānīkaṃ śokasaṃhāravartanam

Translation

Vāyu said: “It blazes with great egoism, and it moves along a course born of the guṇas. Its army is made of grasping and discontent, and its path is one that gathers up and multiplies sorrow.”
