Vāyu said: “Those who truly know dharma, and those who have already attained insight in this world, possess clear knowledge of this matter. Thus I have described to you, in proper order, the method of spiritual discipline. O knowers of dharma—wise men gain a correct and complete understanding of this subject.”
वायुदेव उवाच
True understanding of spiritual discipline (adhyātma-vidhi) belongs to those grounded in dharma and mature in knowledge; the teaching must be grasped correctly and in proper order (yathāvat), leading to samyak-jñāna (right, complete understanding).
Vāyudeva concludes or summarizes an instruction: he tells his listeners that he has properly explained the method of inner spiritual practice, and he affirms that wise, dharma-knowing people comprehend this subject accurately.
