Thus, in the revered Mahābhārata, within the Āśvamedhika Parva, in the Anugītā section, the twenty-second chapter dealing with the Brāhmaṇa’s Song is concluded. This closing colophon signals the completion of a teaching unit, marking a pause for reflection on the ethical and spiritual instruction just delivered.
ब्राह्मण उवाच
This line is a colophon rather than a doctrinal verse: it indicates that the instructional unit called the Brāhmaṇa-gītā chapter has ended within the Anugītā portion. Its function is to frame the teaching as a complete, self-contained lesson meant for recollection and ethical reflection.
The speaker’s discourse reaches a formal stopping point. The text signals that, within the Āśvamedhika Parva’s Anugītā section, the chapter focused on the Brāhmaṇa’s teaching is now concluded.
