सप्तहोतृ-विधानम् एवं इन्द्रिय–मनःसंवादः

The Seven Hotṛs and the Debate of Senses and Mind

अत्राप्युदाहरन्तीममितिहासं पुरातनम्‌ । इन्द्रियाणां च संवादं मनसश्लैव भामिनि,भामिनि! इस विषयमें इन्द्रियों और मनके संवादरूप एक प्राचीन इतिहासका उदाहरण दिया जाता है

atrāpy udāharantīmam itihāsaṁ purātanam | indriyāṇāṁ ca saṁvādaṁ manasaś caiva bhāmini ||

Here too, O fair lady, an ancient illustrative tale is cited—namely, a dialogue between the senses and the mind—offered as an example to clarify this matter and its ethical import.
