एवमुक्त: स शान्तात्मा तामुवाच हसन्निव | सुभगे नाभ्यसूयामि वाक्यस्यास्य तवानघे,पत्नीके ऐसा कहनेपर वे शान्तचित्तवाले ब्राह्मण देवता हँसते हुए-से बोले --'सौभाग्यशालिनि! तुम पापसे सदा दूर रहती हो; अतः तुम्हारे इस कथनके लिये मैं बुरा नहीं मानता

Transliteration

evam uktaḥ sa śāntātmā tām uvāca hasann iva | subhage nābhyasūyāmi vākyasyāsya tavānaghe ||

Translation

Thus addressed, the serene-minded one spoke to her with a faint smile: “O fortunate lady, O blameless one—since you are ever free from sin, I do not take offense at these words of yours.”
