ब्राह्मणा ज्ञानसम्पन्ना यथावच्छुतनिश्चया: । इतरं कृतपुण्यं वा तं विजानन्ति लक्षणै:
Translation
Brahmanas endowed with knowledge—who have rightly studied the principles of the Vedas and the śāstras and whose judgment is sure—discern by the signs which jīva was meritorious and which was sinful.
