Vāyu-deva said: “O king, cold, heat, and wind are bodily qualities. When these qualities remain in balance, that equilibrium is declared to be the mark of a healthy person.”
वायुदेव उवाच
Health is defined as equilibrium: when the bodily qualities of cold, heat, and wind (vāyu) are balanced, one is considered svastha—sound and well-established.
Vāyu-deva addresses a king and gives a concise, instructive definition of bodily well-being, framing health as the harmonious balance of key physiological qualities.
