Marutta’s Sacrifice: Indra’s Threat, Saṃvarta’s Mantric Restraint, and Divine Reconciliation (अध्याय १०)
तमायान्तं सहित देवसंघै: प्रत्युध्ययां सपुरोधा मरुत्त: । चक्रे पूजां देवराजाय चाग्रयां यथाशास्त्रं विधिवत् प्रीयमाण:,देववृन्दके साथ इन्द्रको आते देख राजा मरुत्तने अपने पुरोहित संवर्त मुनिके साथ आगे बढ़कर उनकी अगवानी की और बड़ी प्रसन्नताके साथ शास्त्रीय विधिसे उनका अग्रपूजन किया
tam āyāntaṃ sahita-deva-saṅghaiḥ pratyudyayau sa-purodhā maruttaḥ | cakre pūjāṃ deva-rājāya cāgryāṃ yathā-śāstraṃ vidhi-vat prīyamāṇaḥ ||
Seeing Indra, king of the gods, approaching with the assembled deities, King Marutta—together with his family priest—went forward to receive him. With a joyful heart he rendered the divine king the foremost honor and worship, exactly as the sacred ordinances prescribe and in proper ritual form, thus exemplifying reverent hospitality and disciplined adherence to dharma.
