भवन्तो5स्य च वीरस्य न्यासभूता: कृता मया । मुझे ये बातें अवश्य कहनी चाहिये, ऐसा सोचकर ही मैं आपलोगोंसे यह सब कहता हूँ। मैं इन राजा युधिष्ठिरको धरोहरके रूपमें आप सब लोगोंके हाथ सौंप रहा हूँ और आपलोगोंको भी इन वीर नरेशके हाथमें धरोहरकी ही भाँति दे रहा हूँ

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca | bhavanto 'sya ca vīrasya nyāsabhūtāḥ kṛtā mayā |

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: “I have appointed you all as trustees for this heroic king. Thinking, ‘I must certainly say these things,’ I speak thus: I entrust King Yudhiṣṭhira to you as a sacred deposit, and I likewise place you in the hands of this valiant ruler as a deposit—so that mutual responsibility, protection, and righteous counsel may be upheld.”
