Nārada said: Seeing him in that condition, the wise Sañjaya respectfully circumambulated him and said, “O lord, yoke your own self—compose your mind in Yoga.”
नारद उवाच
The verse urges inner yoking (Yoga): gathering the mind and directing the self toward steadiness and spiritual discipline. Ethical strength is shown as self-mastery—especially when one is weakened or nearing life’s end.
Nārada narrates that the wise Sañjaya, seeing the person addressed in a particular condition, circumambulates him as a sign of reverence and then exhorts him: “O lord, compose yourself in Yoga; yoke your self.”
