Vyāsa said: “Thus, O great-minded one, these gods indeed came down into human birth. Then, once their noble task had been accomplished, they returned again to heaven.”
व्यास उवाच
The verse presents a dharmic view of action and embodiment: higher beings may assume human life to accomplish an auspicious duty, and once that duty is fulfilled, they return to their own realm. It emphasizes purposeful action (karma) and the completion of righteous responsibility.
Vyāsa explains to the addressed ‘mahāprajña’ that certain devas had descended into human form for a specific mission; after completing that noble work, they departed and went back to Svarga.
