Vaiśampāyana said: Then the king, the wise Dhṛtarāṣṭra, accompanied by Gāndhārī and Kuntī, was respectfully greeted by the daughters-in-law—beginning with Kṛṣṇā (Draupadī). He, in turn, received them with gladness and bestowed his blessing.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even after devastating conflict, dharma is sustained through proper conduct: juniors offer respectful salutations, elders respond with gracious acceptance. The verse highlights social-ethical repair—restoring dignity, restraint, and mutual honoring within a fractured family.
The daughters-in-law, led by Draupadī, formally greet Dhṛtarāṣṭra. He is with Gāndhārī and Kuntī, and he responds warmly—receiving their salutations and expressing pleased approval (implicitly, blessings).
