धृतराष्ट्र-सत्कारः तथा श्राद्ध-दाने नियमनम् | Honoring Dhṛtarāṣṭra and Regulating Śrāddha-Gifts
न ददर्श तदा किंचिदप्रियं पाण्डुनन्दने । कुरुकुलशिरोमणि महातेजस्वी बूढ़े राजा धृतराष्ट्रने पाण्डुनन्दन युधिष्ठिरका कोई ऐसा बर्ताव नहीं देखा, जो उनके मनको अप्रिय लगनेवाला हो
na dadarśa tadā kiñcid apriyaṃ pāṇḍu-nandane | kuru-kula-śiromaṇi mahā-tejasvī vṛddho rājā dhṛtarāṣṭraḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana said: At that time the aged king Dhṛtarāṣṭra—radiant in spirit and esteemed as a crest-jewel of the Kuru line—found nothing at all in Yudhiṣṭhira, the son of Pāṇḍu, that could be displeasing. The verse underscores Yudhiṣṭhira’s steady courtesy and dharmic conduct toward the elder, even after the devastation of the war.
