धृतराष्ट्र-सत्कारः तथा श्राद्ध-दाने नियमनम् | Honoring Dhṛtarāṣṭra and Regulating Śrāddha-Gifts
भ्रातृभि: सहितो धीमान् पूजयामास तं नृपम् । इस प्रकार धर्मात्माओंमें श्रेष्ठ बुद्धिमान् धर्मराज युधिष्ठिर अपने भाइयोंके साथ रहकर सदा राजा धृतराष्ट्रका आदर-सत्कार करते रहते थे
bhrātṛbhiḥ sahito dhīmān pūjayāmāsa taṃ nṛpam |
Vaiśampāyana said: The wise Dharmarāja Yudhiṣṭhira, accompanied by his brothers, continually honored that king, Dhṛtarāṣṭra—showing him steady respect and hospitality. Thus Yudhiṣṭhira’s dharmic stature is made plain: though old enmities and the wounds of war remained, he upheld dharma through reverence for elders and compassionate conduct toward the fallen house.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even after devastating conflict, dharma requires steady reverence toward elders and dignified treatment of former adversaries. Yudhiṣṭhira’s wisdom is shown in choosing respect and service over resentment, sustaining social and moral order.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Yudhiṣṭhira, together with his brothers, regularly honors King Dhṛtarāṣṭra—maintaining respectful attendance and hospitality as part of the post-war royal and familial duties.
