धृतराष्ट्रस्य सत्कारः — Dhṛtarāṣṭra Honored in the Post-war Court
ते मूर्थ्नि समुपाप्राता: सर्वकार्याणि चक्रिरे । कुन्तिभोजसुता चैव गान्धारीमन्ववर्तत
te mūrdhni samupāprātāḥ sarvakāryāṇi cakrire | kuntībhojasutā caiva gāndhārīm anvavartata |
Vaiśampāyana said: Approaching and bowing at his head, they carried out every duty. And Kuntī, the daughter of Kuntibhoja, likewise attended upon Gāndhārī—showing steadfast care and service even amid the sorrowful aftermath of the war.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even after devastating conflict, dharma expresses itself through humility, service, and care for elders and the bereaved. Kuntī’s attendance on Gāndhārī models ethical restraint and compassion toward those who have suffered loss, including former adversaries.
Vaiśampāyana describes how the Pāṇḍavas approach respectfully and perform all required duties, while Kuntī consistently attends upon Gāndhārī, emphasizing a household of elders being served in the aftermath of the war.
