छत्रोपानहदानफलप्रशंसा — Praise of the Merit of Donating Umbrella and Footwear

एतस्मात्‌ कारणाद्‌ ब्रह्मंश्चवितयैतत्‌ कृतं मया । एतच्छुत्वा मम विभो मा क्रुधस्त्वं तपोधन,ब्रह्म! इसी कारणसे मैंने आपका यह कार्य कुछ विलम्बसे पूरा किया है। तपोधन! प्रभो! मेरे इस बातपर ध्यान देकर आप क्रोध न करें

Transliteration

etasmāt kāraṇād brahmanś cāvitayaitat kṛtaṃ mayā | etac chrutvā mama vibho mā krudhas tvaṃ tapodhana brahma ||

Translation

Reṇukā said: “For this reason, O Brahmin, I have carried out your request only after some delay. Having heard this from me, O lordly ascetic rich in austerity—O Brahmin—do not be angry.”
