अमांसाशी सदा च स्यातू् पवित्र च सदा पठेत् । ऋतवादी सदा च स्यान्नियतश्न सदा भवेत्
bhīṣma uvāca | amāṃsāśī sadā ca syāt pavitraṃ ca sadā paṭhet | ṛtavādī sadā ca syān niyataśnaḥ sadā bhavet ||
Bhīṣma said: “One should always abstain from meat, and should regularly recite what is purifying. One should always speak truthfully, and should ever remain disciplined and restrained in one’s eating.”
