नक्षत्रेषु श्राद्धफलविधानम् (Śrāddha Outcomes According to Nakṣatras)
लेभिरे परम हर्ष मेनिरे चासुरं हतम् । ततो देवा: प्रियाण्यस्य सर्व एव समाहरन्

Bhishma said: They attained the highest joy and became convinced that the demon would be slain. Thereupon all the gods gathered and brought to him the cherished offerings dear to him. (In context, the seers praise the child and the Gandharvas sing his fame; seeing his radiant, extraordinary form, the gods take it as an auspicious assurance that Tārakāsura’s end is now certain.)
भीष्म उवाच
When righteous forces recognize a divinely sanctioned means to restore order, they respond with unified support and reverent offering; confidence arises not from arrogance but from perceiving auspicious signs aligned with dharma.
After seeing the extraordinary child (Kumāra/Skanda in the surrounding passage) and taking it as a sure sign that the demon Tāraka will be killed, the gods rejoice and collectively bring him offerings dear to him.
