Śrāddha-Kalpa: Pitṛ-Pūjā and Tithi-Phala (श्राद्धकल्पः पितृपूजा च तिथिफलम्)
नेदं धारयितुं शक्ता: समस्ता इति मे मतिः । तेज:प्रभावनिर्दग्धं॑ तस्मात् सर्वमिदं जगत्
nedaṃ dhārayituṃ śaktāḥ samastā iti me matiḥ | tejaḥprabhāvanirdagdhaṃ tasmāt sarvam idaṃ jagat ||
Bhishma said: “In my judgment, even all of them together are not capable of bearing this (your) radiance. Therefore this entire world would be scorched and reduced to ashes by the burning power of that splendor.”
