Śrāddha-Kalpa: Pitṛ-Pūjā and Tithi-Phala
Bhishma said: “The son born of you two will surely overpower even the gods. O Lord, it is our firm conviction that neither the Earth-goddess, nor the sky, nor even heaven can bear the force of your radiance. Even all of them together would be unable to sustain it; the whole world would be reduced to ashes by the impact of your splendor.”

Extraordinary power—especially when linked to divine radiance and destiny—must be approached with restraint and discernment, because unchecked potency can overwhelm even cosmic supports (earth, sky, heaven) and threaten the welfare of the world.
Bhishma warns that the union being discussed would produce a son of such overwhelming might that he would defeat the gods, and that the sheer intensity of the Lord’s tejas (radiance) would be unbearable for the very realms of earth and heaven, endangering the world itself.
