गोषु भक्तश्न लभते यद्‌ यदिच्छति मानव: । स्त्रियोडपि भक्ता या गोषु ताश्व काममवाप्रुयु:,गोभक्त मनुष्य जिस-जिस वस्तुकी इच्छा करता है, वह सब उसे प्राप्त होती है। स्त्रियोंमें भी जो गौओंकी भक्ता हैं, वे मनोवाञ्छित कामनाएँ प्राप्त कर लेती हैं

gōṣu bhaktaśnaḥ labhate yad yad icchati mānavaḥ | striyo 'pi bhaktā yā gōṣu tāś ca kāmam avāpnuyuḥ ||

Bhishma said: A person devoted to cows, living by honoring them, gains whatever he desires. Even women who are devoted to cows attain their wished-for aims.
