इति श्रीमहा भारते अनुशासनपर्वणि दानधर्मपर्वणि गोप्रदानिके अशीतितमो<ध्याय:

Transliteration

iti śrīmahābhārate anuśāsanaparvaṇi dānadharmaparvaṇi gopradānike aśītitamo 'dhyāyaḥ

Translation

Thus ends the eightieth chapter, entitled “The Section on the Gift of Cows,” within the Donation-and-Dharma portion of the Anuśāsana Parva of the sacred Mahābhārata. This closing formula frames the teaching as a completed unit of instruction on righteous giving—especially the ethically charged merit of donating cows as an act of dharma.
