गोप्रदानरतो याति भित्त्वा जलदसंचयान् | विमानेनार्कवर्णेन दिवि राजन् विराजते,राजन! गोदानमें अनुरागपूर्वक तत्पर रहनेवाला पुरुष सूर्यके समान देदीप्यमान विमानमें बैठकर मेघमण्डलको भेदता हुआ स्वर्गमें जाकर सुशोभित होता है
gopradānarato yāti bhittvā jaladasaṃcayān | vimānenārkavarṇena divi rājan virājate ||
Vasiṣṭha said: O King, one devoted to the gift of cows, giving with heartfelt eagerness, pierces the gathered masses of clouds and, seated in a sun-hued celestial chariot, goes to heaven and shines there in glory.
वसिष्ठ उवाच
The verse teaches that go-dāna (the gift of cows), performed with sincere devotion, is a powerful dharmic charity that yields great spiritual merit, culminating in honored, radiant attainment in heaven.
Vasiṣṭha addresses a king and describes the posthumous reward of a devoted cow-giver: the donor ascends in a sun-bright vimāna, passes beyond the cloud-masses, reaches heaven, and shines there—an image meant to inspire ethical generosity.
