यश्चैव धर्म कुरुते तस्य धर्मफलं च यत् । सर्वस्यैवांशभाग् दाता त॑ निमित्तं प्रवृत्तय:
Translation
Bhishma said: “Whoever, having received the gift of cows, practices dharma—whatever fruit arises from that dharma, the giver too becomes a sharer in a portion of it, for it was on the giver’s account that the act of go-dāna was undertaken.”
