वैशम्पायन उवाच भीष्मस्यैतद्‌ वचःश्रुत्वा विस्मिता: कुरुपुड्रवा: । आसन प्रहृष्टमनस: प्रीतिमन्तो5भवंस्तदा,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! भीष्मजीकी यह बात सुनकर समस्त श्रेष्ठ कुरुवंशी आश्वर्यचकित हो उठे। सबके मनमें हर्षजनित उल्लास भर गया। उस समय सभी बड़े प्रसन्न हुए

vaiśampāyana uvāca: bhīṣmasyaitad vacaḥ śrutvā vismitāḥ kurupuṅgavāḥ | āsan prahṛṣṭamanasaḥ prītimanto 'bhavaṃs tadā ||

Vaiśampāyana said: Hearing these words of Bhīṣma, the foremost of the Kuru lineage were struck with wonder. Their hearts filled with delighted exhilaration, and at that moment they all became deeply pleased.
