Karma-Phala Rahasya and the Ethics of Dāna (कर्मफल-रहस्यं दानधर्मश्च)

अधीत्य सर्ववेदान् वै सद्यो दुःखादू विमुच्यते । मानसं हि चरन् धर्म स्वर्गलोकमुपाश्ुते,जो सम्पूर्ण वेदोंका अध्ययन कर लेता है, वह तत्काल दु:ःखसे मुक्त हो जाता है तथा जो मनसे धर्मका आचरण करता है, उसे स्वर्गलोककी प्राप्ति होती है
Transliteration
adhītya sarvavedān vai sadyo duḥkhād vimucyate | mānasaṃ hi caran dharmaṃ svargalokam upāśnute ||
Translation
Bhishma said: “One who has mastered the study of all the Vedas is freed at once from sorrow. And one who practices dharma inwardly—by the discipline of the mind—attains the world of heaven.”
