Educational Q&A

Timely and pure giving—specifically ghee offered to worthy brāhmaṇas in the month of Āśvayuja—is upheld as dharma that brings visible benefit: the refinement of one’s rūpa (beauty/comeliness) through divine favor.

In Bhīṣma’s instruction on dharma (Anuśāsana Parva), he lists a specific charitable act and its फल (result): the Aśvin twins, pleased, grant the donor beauty in this world.
