O foremost of men, the mighty king Yudhiṣṭhira said to the Pāṇḍavas: “Concerning the warrior’s path, let what Grandfather Bhīṣma has spoken be what pleases you all.” Then all the Pāṇḍavas, and the illustrious Draupadī as well, honored Yudhiṣṭhira’s words, replying, “So be it—indeed.”

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights dharmic discipline: when a rightful leader articulates guidance grounded in elder authority and the warrior code, the community’s proper response is respectful assent and alignment of intention with that teaching.

After Yudhiṣṭhira speaks (in context, endorsing the grandsire’s instruction on the heroic/warrior path), all the Pāṇḍavas and Draupadī respond together, approving his words with “bāḍham”—a formal, respectful acceptance.
