Bhīṣma said: “O mighty king, after they had spent many days living in the water, a time came when numerous fishermen—whose livelihood depended on fish—arrived at that very spot, nets in hand, firmly resolved to cast their nets. They were men of hard exertion, strong and courageous, and they did not shrink from entering the waters; with unwavering intent to do the work of net-fishing, they approached that place.”
