स राजर्षिविशुद्धात्मा धीर: सत्यपराक्रम: । काशीनामीश्वर: ख्यातस्त्रिषु लोकेषु कर्मणा,सत्यपराक्रमी, धीर और शुद्ध हृदयवाले काशीनरेश राजर्षि उशीनर अपने पुण्यकर्मसे तीनों लोकोंमें विख्यात हो गये
sa rājarṣi-viśuddhātmā dhīraḥ satya-parākramaḥ | kāśīnām īśvaraḥ khyātas triṣu lokeṣu karmaṇā ||
The king—an illustrious royal sage of purified heart, steadfast and truly valorous—Uśīnara, lord of the Kāśīs, became renowned throughout the three worlds by the power of his righteous deeds.
श्येन उवाच
A ruler’s true greatness is measured not merely by power but by inner purity, steadiness, and truth-based courage; lasting renown arises from righteous deeds (karma) aligned with dharma.
Śyena describes King Uśīnara of Kāśī, portraying him as a rājarṣi—pure-hearted, steadfast, and truly valorous—and states that his meritorious actions made him famous across the three worlds.
