Brāhmaṇya-प्रश्नः — The Inquiry into Attaining Brāhmaṇya
Mataṅga–Gardabhī Itihāsa
हिरण्यबिन्दुं विक्षोभ्य प्रयतश्नाभिवाद्य च
hiraṇyabinduṁ vikṣobhya prayataśn ābhivādya ca
“Having stirred (or agitated) Hiraṇyabindu, and then—being self-controlled—having duly paid him reverent homage.”
अजड्रिय उवाच
Even in moments of provocation or necessary confrontation, one should remain self-controlled (prayataḥ) and maintain respectful conduct (abhivādya), aligning action with dharma rather than impulse.
The speaker describes an action sequence: Hiraṇyabindu is first roused or disturbed (vikṣobhya), and then he is formally greeted with reverence (abhivādya), indicating a disciplined, protocol-bound interaction rather than a purely hostile one.
