अहिंसयित्वा ब्रह्महत्याविधानम् / Brahmahatyā incurred without physical violence

ये त्वेवंगुणजातीयास्तेभ्यो दत्त महाफलम् | सहस्रगुणमाप्रोति गुणाहाय प्रदायक:
Transliteration
ye tv evaṁguṇajātīyās tebhyo dattaṁ mahāphalam | sahasraguṇam āpnoti guṇāhāya pradāyakaḥ ||
Translation
Bhishma said: Gifts given to recipients who truly possess such worthy qualities yield great fruit. Indeed, the giver attains a thousandfold return, for the act of giving is enhanced by the recipient’s virtues and the giver’s discerning choice.
