Aṣṭāvakra said: “Let everyone return to their own dwellings; let one person remain here and attend upon me.”
सअद्टावक्र उवाच
The verse emphasizes orderly conduct and focused discipleship: the teacher dismisses the crowd and calls for a single attendant, suggesting that instruction and service require attention, restraint, and proper arrangement rather than commotion.
Aṣṭāvakra issues a directive: everyone should go back to their own homes, while one person is asked to remain close and serve/stand by him, indicating a transition to a more private or concentrated exchange.
