न हाल्प॑ दुष्कृतं नो$स्ति येनाग्निनाशमागत: । भवतां चाथवा महां तत्त्वेनेतद्‌ विमृश्यताम्‌,“हमलोगोंका थोड़ा-सा अपराध नहीं है जिससे अग्निदेव अदृश्य हो गये हैं। वह अपराध आपलोगोंका है या मेरा--इसका ठीक-ठीक विचार करें"

Transliteration

na hālpaṃ duṣkṛtaṃ no 'sti yenāgnināśam āgataḥ | bhavatāṃ cāthavā mahān tattvenaitad vimṛśyatām ||

Translation

Bhīṣma said: “We have not committed some trifling wrongdoing by which Agni has vanished from sight. Consider carefully, in truth, whether this fault lies with you or with me.”
