Educational Q&A

That the doctrine being introduced is a “supreme secret” preserved in a sacred lineage; its authority and efficacy are grounded in careful transmission from Brahmā to Indra to Mṛtyu, implying it should be approached with reverence, restraint, and ethical responsibility.

Vāyudeva identifies the origin and chain of custody of an esoteric hymn/teaching: it abides in Brahmā’s heart, was taught by Brahmā to Indra, and then passed on by Indra to Mṛtyu—setting up the legitimacy and sanctity of what follows.
