यदा प्रमाणं प्रसव: स्वभावश्च सुखासुखे । दंशकीटपिपीलानां स्थिरो भव युधिछिर
Translation
Bhīṣma said: “O Yudhiṣṭhira, birth, its measure, and one’s own nature are the causes of happiness and sorrow. Even gnats, insects, and ants are born into their several wombs and meet with pleasure and pain according to the disposition fashioned by their own deeds. Knowing this, be steadfast.”
