ततो ध्यात्वा च भगवान् ब्रह्मा तममितौजसम् | अयं श्रेष्ठ इति ज्ञात्वा ववन्दे तमुमापतिम्,तब भगवान् ब्रह्माने ध्यान करके उन अमित-तेजस्वी उमापतिको पहचान लिया और 'ये ही सबसे श्रेष्ठ देवता हैं' ऐसा जानकर उन्होंने उनकी वन्दना की
tato dhyātvā ca bhagavān brahmā tam amitaujasam | ayaṁ śreṣṭha iti jñātvā vavande tam umāpatim |
Then the venerable Brahmā, having meditated, recognized that Lord of immeasurable splendor. Knowing, “This one is the highest,” he bowed in reverence to Umā’s consort (Śiva).
वायुदेव उवाच
True discernment arises from dhyāna (contemplation), and when the highest reality is recognized, the fitting ethical response is humility and reverent devotion rather than pride or rivalry.
Vāyudeva recounts that Brahmā meditates, identifies the immeasurably radiant Umāpati (Śiva) as the श्रेष्ठ (highest), and then offers him homage.
