जेपुश्न शतरुद्रीयं देवा: कृत्वाउ्जलिं तदा । संस्तूयमानस्त्रिदशै: प्रससाद महेश्वर:,उस समय देवतालोग हाथ जोड़कर शतरुद्रियका जप करने लगे। देवताओं के द्वारा अपनी स्तुति की जानेपर महेश्वर प्रसन्न हो गये
jepuḥ śatarudrīyaṃ devāḥ kṛtvāñjaliṃ tadā | saṃstūyamānas tridāśaiḥ prasasāda maheśvaraḥ ||
Then the gods, joining their hands in reverence, began to recite the Śatarudrīya hymn. As the immortals praised him, Maheśvara became gracious and pleased.
वायुदेव उवाच
Reverent humility and sincere devotional praise (japa and stuti) invite divine favor; disciplined worship can pacify fearsome power and restore harmony.
Vāyudeva describes how the gods, with folded hands, recite the Śatarudrīya hymn to Rudra/Śiva; pleased by their praise, Maheśvara becomes gracious toward them.
