Shloka 8

ब्राह्मणप्रमुखं सौम्यं न मे5त्रास्ति विचारणा

brāhmaṇa-pramukhaṃ saumyaṃ na me ’trāsti vicāraṇā | brāhmaṇeṣu śānta-bhāvasya prādhānyam | etad-viṣaye mama na vicāraṇā | brāhmaṇa-pūjanād āyuḥ kīrtiḥ yaśaḥ balaṃ ca prāpyate | sarve lokāḥ lokeśvarāś ca brāhmaṇa-pūjakāḥ santi ||

Vāyu said: “O gentle one, the Brahmin stands foremost; on this there is no doubt in my mind. Among Brahmins, a disposition of peace is predominant. Therefore I have no need to deliberate further on this matter. By honoring Brahmins one gains long life, renown, fame, and strength. Indeed, all worlds—and even the lords of the worlds—are worshippers of Brahmins.”
