अद्विः सिक्त्वास्तम्भयत् तं सवज्ज॑ सहपर्वतम् । उस समय उनके नेत्र अमर्षसे आकुल हो रहे थे। भगवान् इन्द्रने वज्रके द्वारा भी मुनिपर आक्रमण किया। उनको आक्रमण करते देख तपस्वी च्यवनने जलका छींटा देकर वज्र और पर्वतसहित इन्द्रको स्तम्भित कर दिया--जडवत् बना दिया
Translation
At that moment Indra’s eyes were troubled with unbridled wrath. The Lord Indra even assailed the sage with the vajra. Seeing him attack, the austere Cyavana sprinkled a mere dash of water and arrested Indra—together with the vajra and the mountain—making him rigid, as if turned to stone.
