अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)

एतत्‌ परममानन्दं यत्‌ तच्छाश्वतमेव च । एषा गतिर्विरेक्तानामेष भाव: पर: सताम्‌,इन महादेवजीका अंशभूत जो सम्पूर्ण जगत्‌ चक्रकी भाँति निरन्तर चलता रहता है, वह भी ये ही हैं। ये परमानन्दस्वरूप हैं। जो शाश्वत ब्रह्म है, वह भी ये ही हैं। ये ही विरक्तोंकी गति हैं और ये ही सत्पुरुषोंके परमभाव हैं

Transliteration

etat paramamānandaṃ yat tacchāśvatam eva ca | eṣā gatir virektānām eṣa bhāvaḥ paraḥ satām |

Translation

Vāyu said: “This indeed is the supreme bliss, and this alone is the eternal. He is the final refuge of the detached, and He is the highest inner state sought by the truly good.”
