Bhīṣma said: “Thus, in the Śrī Mahābhārata, within the Anuśāsana Parva, in the section on the dharma of giving (Dāna-dharma), the chapter concerning the praise of brāhmaṇas—being the one-hundred-and-fifty-first chapter—comes to an end.” This closing colophon frames the teaching as part of a larger ethical discourse: generosity guided by dharma, and reverence for those entrusted with learning and ritual responsibility.

As a colophon, the verse primarily signals closure and situates the preceding instruction within dāna-dharma and brāhmaṇa-praśaṃsā: giving should be aligned with dharma, and society is urged to honor learned custodians of sacred knowledge and ritual duty.
Bhīṣma’s discourse reaches a formal endpoint: the text announces that the 151st chapter—on praising brāhmaṇas within the dāna-dharma section of the Anuśāsana Parva—has concluded.
