एषा ते कथिता राजन् सावित्री ब्रह्म शाश्वती | विवक्षुरसि यच्चान्यत् तत् ते वक्ष्यामि भारत
eṣā te kathitā rājan sāvitrī brahma śāśvatī | vivakṣur asi yac cānyat tat te vakṣyāmi bhārata ||
Bhishma said: “O King, I have thus explained to you the eternal Savitri—Gayatri—whose nature is Brahman. If there is anything else you wish to ask, O Bharata, I shall tell you that as well.”
भीष्म उवाच
The verse affirms the timeless sanctity of Sāvitrī/Gāyatrī by identifying it with Brahman, and it models the ethic of instruction: a teacher completes one topic and invites further sincere inquiry.
In the Anuśāsana Parva’s instruction-setting, Bhīṣma concludes his account of the greatness of Sāvitrī/Gāyatrī to King Yudhiṣṭhira and offers to answer any further questions.
