पुरूरवसमैलं च त्रिषु लोकेषु विश्रुतम् बुधस्य दयितं पुत्र कीर्तयेद् वसुधाधिपम्
purūravasaṃ ailam ca triṣu lokeṣu viśrutam | budhasya dayitaṃ putra kīrtayed vasudhādhipam ||
Bhishma said: “O son, one should recite and celebrate the name of King Purūravas, descendant of Ilā, renowned throughout the three worlds—Budha’s beloved son and a sovereign of the earth.”
