आदित्यवंशप्रभवं महेन्द्रसमविक्रमम्,सूर्यवंशमें उत्पन्न और देवराज इन्द्रके समान पराक्रमी इला और बुधके प्रिय पुत्र त्रिभुवनविख्यात राजा पुरूरवाका नाम कीर्तन करें
ādityavaṃśaprabhavaṃ mahendrasamavikramam | sūryavaṃśe utpannaṃ ca ilā-budhapriya-putraṃ tribhuvanavikhyātaṃ rājānaṃ purūravaḥ nāma kīrtayet ||
Bhīṣma said: “One should recite and celebrate the name of King Purūravas—born in the Solar (Āditya) lineage, equal in valor to Indra, the beloved son of Ilā and Budha, and renowned throughout the three worlds.”
