कल्मषापहर-कीर्तनम् / Kīrtana for the Removal of Impurity
श्रीमहेश्वरने कहा--जो श्रेष्ठ मार्गको पानेकी इच्छा रखकर सदा ही ब्राह्मणोंसे उसके विषयमें पूछता है, धर्मका अन्वेषण करता और सद्गुणोंकी अभिलाषा रखता है, वही स्वर्गलोकके सुखका अनुभव करता है ।। यदि मानुषतां देवि कदाचित् स निगच्छति । मेधावी धारणायुक्त: प्रायस्तत्राभिजायते,देवि! ऐसा मनुष्य यदि कभी मानवयोनिको प्राप्त होता है तो वहाँ प्रायः मेधावी एवं धारण शक्तिसे सम्पन्न होता है
śrīmaheśvara uvāca—yo śreṣṭha-mārgaṃ prāptum icchan sadā brāhmaṇebhyaḥ tasya viṣaye pṛcchati, dharmam anviṣyati, sadguṇānām abhīlāṣaṃ ca dhatte, sa eva svargalokasya sukham anubhavati. yadi mānuṣatāṃ devi kadācit sa nigacchati, medhāvī dhāraṇā-yuktaḥ prāyas tatra abhijāyate.
Śrī Maheśvara said: “One who, desiring to attain the highest path, continually asks the brāhmaṇas about it, seeks out dharma, and longs for noble virtues—he alone experiences the happiness of the heavenly world. And if, O Goddess, such a person ever comes to human existence, then in that birth he is generally born intelligent and endowed with the power of retention and steady comprehension.”
