उपसन्युरुवाच नास्ति शर्वसमो देवो नास्ति शर्वसमा गति: । नास्ति शर्वसमो दाने नास्ति शर्वसमो रणे

Upasanyur uvāca: nāsti Śarva-samo devo nāsti Śarva-samā gatiḥ | nāsti Śarva-samo dāne nāsti Śarva-samo raṇe ||

Upasanyu said: “There is no god equal to Śarva; there is no refuge or final goal equal to Śarva. In generosity none equals Śarva, and in battle none equals Śarva.”
