Śrī Maheśvara said: “Whoever faithfully observes this inwardly resolved vow of consecration for twelve years attains the world of heaven and rejoices there in the company of the gods.”
श्रीमहेश्वर उवाच
Sustained, disciplined observance of a vow—especially one grounded in sincere inner resolve (manogatā)—bears spiritual fruit; perseverance over a long period (twelve years) is presented as leading to heavenly attainment and joy among the devas.
Maheśvara is describing the result (phala) of practicing a particular consecrated observance (dīkṣā) for twelve years: the practitioner reaches Svarga and enjoys divine companionship, emphasizing the efficacy of long-term vow-based discipline.
